10. Ohio State Buckeyes (11-3, 5-3)

It was a great week for the Buckeyes, taking care of business against both Northwestern and Illinois. The victory over the Illini was very impressive, with Ohio State controlling the game from start to finish. EJ Liddell led all scorers with 26 points, while Harvard transfer Seth Towns tied a season-high with 11 points off the bench.

Ohio State looks to extend its three-game winning streak with Purdue and at Wisconsin. The Buckeyes’ great run of offensive play will surely be tested against the Badgers.

9. Wisconsin Badgers (11-3, 5-2)

Wisconsin has one of the best defenses in college basketball but still managed to give up a nearly 40-6 run to Michigan in a blowout loss earlier in the week. The good news for them is that they rebounded to beat Rutgers on Friday, with Aleem Ford and Brad Davison each scoring 14 points in a defensive battle.

The Badgers will get to be at home in this upcoming week, taking on a reeling Northwestern squad along with Ohio State, whose offense is buzzing at the moment.

8. Houston Cougars (10-1, 5-1)

Cancellations from other teams in the AAC left the Cougars idle this week. But they have three matchups at home this upcoming week, facing off against Central Florida, Cincinnati, and Tulsa. Sweep those three and the AAC regular-season title is all but theirs.
