One of the most anticipated matchups of the Saturday slate was Cade Cunningham vs. Baylor’s dominant defense. Unfortunately, that matchup will be put on hold for February.

It was announced just 45 minutes prior to tip-off, that Cunningham would not play and was dressed in street clothes on the sidelines. Without Cunningham, Oklahoma State gave the Bears all they could handle for 25 minutes. Oklahoma State had a two-point lead at the half and got an outstanding performance from Kalib Boone.

However, Baylor suffocated the Cowboys and a 19-1 Baylor run was too much for the Cowboys. Oklahoma State didn’t rely too much on a three-point shot, even when the deficit was growing wider over the last half of the game. They only took 10 three-point attempts and had 16 turnovers in the process.

Oklahoma State will travel to play Iowa State on Monday. They will then come back home to play former SWC team, Arkansas on Saturday.
