Patrick Ewing – Georgetown Hoyas

Staying in the Big East, what in the heck has happened to Georgetown? This program may be at an all-time low. In year four, Patrick Ewing has an overall losing record with the Hoyas at 52-54. His rival in the 1980’s, Chris Mullin, didn’t survive with the Red Storm. Patrick Ewing’s time at his alma mater may be coming to an end too.

There have been little things to be happy about since Ewing has taken over. For example, James Akinjo and Mac McClung are having their most success since transferring out. Both Akinjo and McClung are leading their respective teams in scoring, dominating at high-major programs.

The Hoyas are 3-8 this year with zero quality wins. They also lost to the Naval Academy. There’s not much else to say other than things are bleak. The Patrick Ewing era has been a disappointment for Georgetown.
