Utah Utes – Alfonso Plummer

The Utah Utes have had an interesting season. They had their first game of the year canceled due to COVID-19 protocol and have gotten off to an 8-7 record and a 5-5 record in league play. The Utes have kinda been inconsistent this year. They have some close losses and some blow out losses. They have also had a rough loss against Cal but also beat good teams as in Stanford and Colorado.

But one Utah player that I think should be talking about more is Alfonso Plummer. Plummer is a gunner, he takes about 6 three’s a game and has shown the ability to knock a bunch down. He’s had a game last year against Oregon State where he hit11 three’s and hit 5 in four games last season.

His efficiency has gone down a little bit but he’s raised his scoring from 8.4 points per game to 13.5. He has also been super valuable when he’s been on the court to leading the Utes in total box plus-minus.

Plummer is a super fun player, he’s a shooter who can get hot anytime and with Utah being in the middle of the league, he’s a guy who you should watch moving forward.
