Missouri Tigers

You could make the argument that Missouri didn’t deserve to be included on this list after their mid-week victory, but the Tigers left no doubt on Saturday that they were a winner this week.

Missouri started the week with a 75-70 win over a slumping Kentucky team in which the Tigers held off a second-half comeback from the Wildcats. Missouri got a season-high 26 points from senior guard Dru Smith in the victory.

Missouri finished the week with a 68-65 victory over Alabama in which the Tigers held a massive 20+ point lead in the second half. However, the Tide made a massive comeback and even had a chance to take a lead twice during the final twenty seconds of the game, but Missouri found a way to win. This was Alabama’s first loss in SEC play this season.

The Tigers now sit at 13-3 overall, 6-3 in the SEC, and you can make the argument that Missouri is a Top 10 team in the nation, and potentially even better. This experienced Tigers team looks firmly cemented as the second-best team in the SEC behind Alabama.
