Texas Tech Red Raiders
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have had a knack for close games lately, and this week was no different.
The Red Raiders started the week with a top 10 upset over Oklahoma in which they won 57-52. Texas Tech got a good game from Kevin McCullar, as well as a 15-point second-half from Terrence Shannon Jr.
Texas Tech ended the week with a 73-62 win over an underwhelming Kansas State team but got 23 points from star guard Mac McClung.
The Red Raiders now stand at 14-5 overall, and 6-4 in a crowded top half of the Big 12. Texas Tech could be ranked in the Top 10 this week and has two massive opportunities awaiting them this week, hosting a Top 15 caliber West Virginia team, and a trip to Waco to face the undefeated Baylor Bears.
Is Texas Tech a dark horse to receive a one seed in the NCAA Tournament? The Red Raiders have the opportunity to improve their resume right in front of them, can they take it?
