12. George Washington Colonials

  • 2020-21 record: 3-9 overall, 2-3 A-10
  • Previous ranking: 12th

There really is not much to be said about George Washington.  When the last power rankings were released, the Colonials were on pause after having played their last game on January 17th – and now, almost a full month later, the Colonials are still on pause.

Their last game on the 17th produced a 67-54 win for Dayton – and subsequent games against Dayton, URI, George Mason, Fordham, Saint Louis, Richmond, and La Salle have all been postponed.  Spanning January 20th to February 13th, that is a whopping seven games off of George Washington’s schedule.

If all holds, the Colonials will finally be back in action on February 17th, hosting Saint Joseph’s in what will be a return-to-play game for both squads.  That could very much be George Washington’s best chance for a win the rest of the way, considering they still have St. Bonaventure and Davidson on their schedule.
