Big 12 Basketball: West Virginia, Oklahoma rises in new power rankings

After sliding this past week, Texas survived a scare from Kansas State in Manhattan. Andrew Jones played another terrific game from the Longhorns, cashing in on 24 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Texas shot really well from beyond the arc, hitting 13 three-point shots, four coming from Jones and Greg Brown.
Not only were they bright spots from beyond the arc, but on this alley-oop highlight.

Texas finished with four players in double figures in their 15-point win over TCU. Texas shot well from the field at 49 percent and did not welcome Mike Miles back to play. He limited the guard to just 4-13 from the field and Texas got 19 from their star guard in Jones.
The Longhorns are currently ranked fourth in the conference standings, with road games against Oklahoma and Texas Tech still on the horizon. As well as, home games with West Virginia and Kansas.
The Longhorns are essentially out of a chance to win the Big 12, with the rate Baylor was playing at, prior to being shutdown. However, the Longhorns are fighting to stay inside the Top 16 overall seeds, that were revealed on Saturday.
