Big 12 Basketball: West Virginia, Oklahoma rises in new power rankings

Previous games: cancellation vs. Baylor, 91-90 win over West Virginia (2OT).
Next games: Tuesday vs. Texas, Saturday at. Iowa State.
In what was quite possibly, the best game in conference play to this point, Oklahoma secured a huge two overtime win over West Virginia. When senior leadership was needed, it was the seniors that stepped up.
Seven different players scored in the first half, as well as, 3-12 from beyond the arc. However, it was Austin Reaves that led the way for the Sooners, with 28 points. Reaves was clutch with four of his points, coming in the final minute of the game to seal the deal.

Umoja Gibson has slowly continued to rise in his play over the span of the year. His two best games of the year have come against the Mountaineers, after scoring 29 points in their first win over West Virginia on January 2.
The revolving door that has been the second-ranking in the Big 12 continues to change as Oklahoma has risen to the second spot.
The Sooners still have some quality games, with a series with Oklahoma State and Texas on Tuesday. They have a chance to solidify the spot over the next few weeks.

After their initial first cancellation against TCU, Baylor would shut down their program for the remainder two weeks. The Bears are next expected to step on the court next Saturday vs. Oklahoma State.
