Drake Bulldogs

If you had to ask random people for one mid-major team that has looked the best this season, odds are that the answer that you’ll hear back is the Drake Bulldogs.

Drake started the 2020-2021 campaign off to an undefeated 18-0 start, before recently losing two of their last four. The Bulldogs currently sit at 35 in the NET rankings and are sitting firmly on the Bubble.

The Bulldogs currently average an impressive 78.7 PPG on 49.3% shooting and are an experienced team led by junior guards Roman Penn and DJ Wilkins, as well as senior forwards ShanQuan Hemphill and Tremell Murphy.

The Bulldogs are currently second in the Missouri Valley Conference behind Loyola-Chicago, and may very well finish ranked second in the MVC. However, if Drake can make it to March, the Bulldogs could be a popular “Cinderella” pick during March Madness.
