Texas Tech basketball may be a problem come tournament time
The Red Raiders are currently a sixth seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology. They are slated to play the winner of the 11 seed game between the Indiana Hoosiers and Connecticut Huskies in region three.
If McClung plays like the star that he is and the Red Raiders receive quality minutes from Shannon Jr., Santos Silva, Kyler Edwards, and McCullar, they’ll be in a position to make a deep run. Beard was complimentary of Texas in his press conference after the game. He wished them luck during the rest of their season and stated that both teams compete against each other, but college basketball is working together to get games played to have an NCAA Tournament.
He said that this game felt good because the team had stretches where they played Texas Tech basketball for the first time in a while. The Red Raiders were balanced offensively with five guys reaching double figures, they only turned the ball over 11 times, and Beard was happy that the team sustained good defensive play throughout the game.
