The Strange Teams in the Field of 68

If you would’ve told me there would be no Duke, Kentucky, and Louisville in the NCAA Tournament before the season started, I would’ve probably honestly laughed, but here we are.

While we don’t have programs like the Blue Devils, Wildcats, and Cardinals in this year’s Tournament, we are also lacking programs such as Cincinnati and Xavier.

This year’s version of the Tournament does have Michigan State and UCLA however, even if they’re barely in, as well as the return of Georgetown and Iona head coach Rick Pitino. Yes, Pitino is going dancing, and Louisville is not. Did anyone predict that?

We will also get to see just how much noise those three can make as the Spartans and Bruins will face off in the First Four, the Hoyas will look to continue their momentum as they try to upset 5-seed Colorado, and Pitino’s Iona Gaels face off against 2-seed Alabama.

March Madness Has Returned

Smile college basketball fans, we made it.

After our last memory of the NCAA Tournament was Virginia lifting the trophy nearly two years ago in Minneapolis, March Madness has finally returned. Even if it seemed like we would never get here at points throughout the season, we made it.

When the First Four begins on Thursday, we will get 2-3 weeks of non-stop college basketball where every shot, play, and second counts. The days of the regular season and conference tournaments are gone, and the days of massive upsets, buzzer beaters, and playing for a national championship have returned.

Next. 8 takeaways from Championship Week. dark

With all that being said, let’s smile because we finally made it. Buckle up college basketball fans, and let the “Madness” begin.
