Seton Hall Pirates

Similar to Providence, Seton Hall also missed out on the Big Dance for the first time in a while. And they’re going to have to replace their own star big man Sandro Mamukelashvili after a spectacular campaign this year. Assuming he is gone, that leaves Ike Obiagu left at the center position and he hasn’t shown to be able to play more than 20 mpg in an effective matter.

Mitchell would certainly be an offensive upgrade and he and Obiagu could play together on the court for a few minutes as well. Assuming that Jared Rhoden comes back and can be a leading scorer and the other rotational pieces can improve, this would be an intriguing landing spot for the UMass big man.

Tennessee Volunteers

The current group of senior bigs on the roster (John Fulkerson and Yves Pons) have been solid but not rockstars since entering SEC play. Assuming they both graduate and star freshmen Keon Johnson and Jaden Springer enter the NBA Draft, that’s a lot of production that’ll need to be replaced.

The good news for the Volunteers has five-star point guard Kennedy Chandler and top-50 class of 2021 wing Jahmai Mashack coming in for next season. But they don’t have a big man to balance out the offense and give them a proven go-to scorer. To compete with the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky in 2022, adding a talented transfer like Mitchell would be a massive boost.
