Keve Aluma needs a big game for Virginia Tech Basketball to upset Florida

The Hokies must limit Mann if they are going to pull off an upset
When Keyontae Johnson collapsed in a game against rival Florida State on December 12th it did not look good down the stretch for the Gators. Luckily Johnson was okay, but it was announced he would not play again this season and Florida was 5-3 and 2-2 in conference play after eight games.
That’s when Tre Mann got going. Mann had a very productive season averaging 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal on 45% shooting while being named to the All-SEC first team. He has been a monster for Florida this year and could be a problem for Virginia Tech if they don’t find a way to contain him.
Luckily for the Hokies, they have one of the best perimeter defenders in the nation in senior leader Wabissa Bede. Bede is the only player left from the Buzz Williams era and the last player from Hokie’s Sweet 16 run in 2019. And has had tougher assignments than Mann.
I think if Bede can slow down Mann as he has to several others of the nation’s elite guards in the past that you will see the Hokies advance to the Round of 32.
