Santiago Vescovi

While he doesn’t play the same position as Fulkerson, improved play from Vescovi can go a long way for this Tennessee team.

Vescovi has taken a step back scoring in his sophomore season, but he still averages 8.6 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 3.2 APG (leads the team). Vescovi plays primarily as the Volunteers point guard, but can affect a game in many different ways.

Santiago Vescovi has hit some massive shots at times for Tennessee during his first two seasons in Knoxville. Even though he averages 8.6 PPG, Vescovi can also have games where he is the Volunteers leading scorer as he has scored 15+ points in 4 games this season, including a season-high 23 points. If you also need a free-throw shooter, Vescovi is your guy as he is an 81.6% shooter.

While Vescovi won’t replace Fulkerson on the court, Vescovi is a guy that will be vital to Tennessee’s chances of advancing deep into the NCAA Tournament. While teams may game-plan for the Volunteers other stars, don’t count out Vescovi being the guy carrying Tennessee offensively at times.
