Oral Roberts Basketballs looks to keep the dream run alive against Arkansas
Don’t let JD Notae have a big game off the bench
Arkansas is going to get its fair share of points in this game. They’re a top-10 scoring offense at 82 ppg and has four players who average over double figures. Moody leads the way at 17.1 ppg and has the capability to go for 20+ on any given night.
Justin Smith had 29 against Colgate in the Round of 64 game, while senior point guard Jalen Tate is a consistent double-digit producer and top passer for the Razorbacks. The fourth double-digit contributor is JD Notae, who actually comes off the bench for the team.
The former Jacksonville guard is averaging 13.1 ppg (third on the team), while making 54 three-pointers on the season (second). He’s one of the bench players in the country, and won the SEC 6th Man of the Year Award. The 6’1 guard was more consistent in his production in the first half of the season but still has the ability to go for 20+ off the bench, like he did most recently against Missouri in the SEC Tournament, going for 27 points.
It’s going to be difficult for Oral Roberts to stop Arkansas completely, especially the key starters like Moody, Tate, and Smith. If Notae goes for 15+, the odds for the Razorbacks winning this will be good. But if the Eagles can hold him off, then we may just see another magical upset occur.
