50. G Wendell Green Jr. – Eastern Kentucky

2020-21 stats: 15.8 ppg 3.4 rpg 5.0 apg

The freshman was a complete star with the Colonels, leading the team in scoring and passing on their way to an impressive finish in the Ohio Valley Conference. His shooting percentages weren’t the greatest but it’s hard to question anything the first-year player did for a winning team this season.

Now in the portal, the concern is his lack of size at 5’11 and shooting ability. That may keep power conference programs away at the moment but an upper-tier mid-major team should certainly take a flyer out on a guy with four years of eligibility left.

49. G Antonio Daye Jr. – Florida International

2020-21 stats: 17.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg. 4,7 apg

The 6’0 guard had a breakout scoring season for the Panthers, leading them in scoring along with accumulating other stats, such as leading Conference USA in steals per game (2.4 spg). Daye is a two-way talent that can slash to the basket and defend at a high level. The only concern is his inability to shoot the ball, with a 28% career three-point mark.

Daye originally had a final four list that including Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Clemson, and Providence but has recently reopened his recruitment. So it looks as if he wants to go the power conference route. We’ll see if that remains his final destination.

48. G Phlandrous Fleming Jr. – Charleston Southern

2020-21 stats: 20.1 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 2.3 apg

Few players can say that they ended their seasons on a buzzer-beating game-winner but that’s what Fleming was able to do for the Buccaneers before covid issues ended the team’s season before the Big South Tournament. The four-year guard elected to enter the portal, coming off an all-league campaign that included several 30-point efforts during the season.

But the team was awful overall, winning just three games on the season despite Fleming scoring so much. This is a scenario where he should still remain at the mid-major level, as his game may not translate well enough to get a rotation spot.

47. G Rich Kelly – Boston College

2020-21 stats: 11.0 ppg and 2.4 apg

The former guard at Quinnipiac had a solid showing once inserted into the lineup for the Eagles, including a 27-point outing in a win over Miami. Kelly was part of a crowded backcourt of guards, who all since has left after the coaching change.

Where Kelly ends up will be interesting. He has proven he can be a rotational piece at the power conference level, albeit for a lower-level team. The 6’1 point guard will likely want to go somewhere where he’ll have the ball in his hands again but that may be at the mid-major level.

46. G Shahada Wells – Texas-Arlington

2020-21 stats: 16.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 3.7 apg

After starring at Tyler Junior College, Wells became an instant star for the Mavericks, leading the team in both scoring and passing this season. He had a 31-point effort in a win over Louisiana while making 39% of his three-pointers overall.

Wells is a 6’0 point guard but can play off-ball in need be. Expect several programs in the Big 12/Texas Region to be interested, as he can at least be a scoring punch off the bench, if not a star at the next level.
