3 keys for Baylor Basketball to win a national championship over Gonzaga

Rely on their biggest asset up to this point
A lost stat coming from the thrilling Gonzaga vs. UCLA game was the lack of defense in the paint on Gonzaga’s part. A team that shot 46% from the field on the season, had 57% in the game and struggled in containing Cody Davis and Johnny Juzang.
To be fair to the Bulldogs, UCLA made some extremely difficult shots in the process.
Although not quite as electric as Gonzaga, Baylor’s offense is just as good. The Bears rank No. 1 in three-point percentage, at 41.2%. They drained 11 three-pointers in their win over Houston, with Butler and Mitchell leading the way.
Baylor has had three different players that have scored 30 points on the season. All three of them used big three-point performances to prevail.
Butler hit 13 three-pointers in a two-game stretch in big wins over Kansas and Oklahoma State. The junior combined for 52 points and was named National Player of the Week.
Mitchell drained seven three-pointers, en route to 31 points in a blowout win against Kansas State.
In his final game in the Ferrell Center, Teague connected on 10 three-pointers in his 35 point performance over Texas Tech.

Although not the worst, Gonzaga tends to give up points and at times, in bunches. They rank 141st in points per game against at 69.2 and allows teams to hit 32% of their three-pointers The luxury has been how good their offense is, to overrule the defense.
Gonzaga comes in as the five point favorite and deserves to be the favorite, considering their undefeated record. However, Baylor has more than a fighting chance to defeat the Bulldogs.
