No. 13 – Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs you could argue have been fairly underwhelming in the three years so far under head coach Tom Crean and now face a very important offseason.

The Bulldogs finished the 2020-2021 season at 14-12 overall, and 7-11 in the SEC ranking 10th in the conference. Georgia was good for the most part offensively averaging 77.5 PPG, but was not good defensively allowing 78 PPG, the most for the Bulldogs since the 1975-1976 season.

There has already been a lot of roster turnover from an experienced team last season as a few prominent Georgia players have entered the transfer portal. Leading this group is star forward Toumani Camara who averaged 12.8 PPG and 7.7 RPG in 2020-21, along with impactful players Tye Fagan and Christian Brown.

The Bulldogs however will return their top two leading scorers from a year ago in guards Sahvir Wheeler and KD Johnson, both of whom averaged 13+ PPG. Aside from those two, however, the only notable returning player is rising junior guard Jaxon Etter who only averaged eight minutes per game. Georgia also brings in the #13 ranked recruiting class in the SEC which includes two 3-star’s in guard Camron McDowell and forward Tyrone Baker, as well as recently adding Virginia transfer and former Top 40 player Jabri Abdur-Rahim.

Georgia has the potential to rise up this list as the offseason goes along, but they must add players through either recruiting or transfer. Expect the Bulldogs to be extremely active this offseason by adding multiple transfers, especially in their front-court.
