Georgia Bulldogs

Head coach Tom Crean and the Bulldogs have also been busy in the portal, landing three transfers this offseason. One is 6’7 forward Jailyn Ingram, while the other two are shooting guards in Noah Baumann and Jabri Abdur-Rahim. Abdur-Rahim is a former top-50 prospect that didn’t play much at Virginia as a freshman, while Baumann was a sharpshooter off the bench for USC in limited playing time.

Plummer, on paper, is a better player than both of those guards and could pair with All-SEC point guard Sahvir Wheeler to create a solid backcourt. But without any proven frontcourt players, Georgia could be looking once again at a bottom-tier finish in the SEC and miss out on the Big Dance. Would the former Ute be willing to take that risk?

Illinois Fighting Illini

It was no surprise when All-American guard Ayo Dosunmu declared for the NBA Draft but the program was thrown off when freshman guard Adam Miller transferred. The good news for the team is that senior guard Trent Frazier intends to come back for a fifth year but the current roster doesn’t have much of a scoring punch, especially if big man Kofi Cockburn decides to go pro too.

That’s why Illinois has reported been after Plummer hard, looking for him to replace Miller’s role in the offense. His presence would take pressure off of both Frazier and Andre Curbelo, who’ll be tasked with leading a very different offense this upcoming season. Plummer would have a sizeable role on what should be a good team in the Big Ten, with a good shot of going dancing next season.
