10. Vanderbilt Commodores

The Commodores have quietly had a phenomenal offseason so far, partly due to their success so far in the transfer portal. Jerry Stackhouse and Co. have quietly started to build momentum this offseason headlined by the addition of Minnesota transfer Liam Robbins. Robbins averaged 11.7 PPG and 6.6 RPG last season and gives Vanderbilt a legit post-threat who can score and protect the rim.

Vanderbilt also added experienced Dayton transfer guard Rodney Chatman, as well as TCU transfer forward Terren Frank. The Commodores could have an interesting roster next season, especially in the frontcourt with Robbins, and they might not be done adding yet either.

9. Florida Gators

The Gators will lose a notable amount of talent off last season’s team that made it to the NCAA Tournament but have re-loaded nicely over the past couple of weeks with the most notable addition being Penn State transfer guard Myreon Jones. Jones led the Nittany Lions in scoring during the 2020-21 season with 15.3 PPG, and could put up similar numbers next season in Gainesville.

Florida also added three other instant impact transfers in addition to Jones which include guards Phlandrous Fleming and Brandon McKissic, as well as forward CJ Felder. All three will provide experience and instant production for the Gators next season with all three capable of scoring 10+ PPG in the SEC, as well as strong defense giving Fleming and McKissic both won Defensive Player of the Year in their respective conferences last season.
