Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State has been in the market for a post player all offseason so it’s not really a surprise that they’ve been after Clingan. There will likely be an opening for Clingan to step in and play right away which is important for him.

The Buckeyes have been linked with quite a few big men with 2022 Kyle Filipowski and Shawn Phillips to name a few. They were linked with Efton Reid for 2021 but then went with Joey Brunk as a transfer from IU. No surprise that Holtman has had some success on the recruiting trail as of late given the Buckeyes’ success on the court since his arrival. Ohio State has a bright future but in all likelihood, it would be a big surprise if Clingan picks the Bucks.

Syracuse Orange

Syracuse was Clingan’s first offer so that may hold a little bit of weight. Clingan has had high praise about hall of fame coach Jim Boeheim in recent interviews when asked about his recruiting experience.

Syracuse has already gotten a commitment from 2022 four-star Kamari Lands. Clingan would make a nice compliment with Lands offensively. Syracuse has been heavily involved from the start and it’s likely they’ll be in consideration to the very end for Clingan. There wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Orange snap up Clingan, he would play a huge role in the future of the program.
