Moussa Cisse, Quincy Guerrier among top available NCAA Basketball transfers
2. G Daejon Davis – Stanford Cardinal
2020-21 stats: 10.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg and 2.9 apg
A four-year starter with nearly 100 starts in his career, Davis struggled with injuries this past season but still was able to put up similar numbers. The 6’4 guard is a consistent double-digit scorer and leading passer, capable of playing both on and off the ball.
Davis is from the Seattle area and there’s a local team that could definitely use a true ball-handler and point guard on the roster. The Washington Huskies were at one point viewed as a favorite to land the experienced guard several years ago, and could have the chance to land the hometown kid this time around.
1. F Quincy Guerrier – Syracuse Orange
2020-21 stats: 13.7 ppg, 8.4 rpg and 1.1 bpg
The 6’7 forward was viewed as a breakout candidate last offseason after putting up solid numbers off the bench for the Orange. He proved that this past season, second and on the team in scoring and first in rebounding. He had eight games of at least 18 points in the first 13 outings but saw his production dip in the second half of the season.
Guerrier is a quality rebounder and versatile defender with an offensive game that continues to improve. He may be undersized as a power forward but that didn’t stop him in the ACC. Look for him to land somewhere where he can be a leading option on offense.
There are still plenty of quality NCAA Basketball players still in the transfer portal but roster spots are starting to fill up. Let’s see where these and other current free agents will end up as a key portion of the offseason calendar arrives.
