18. F Naz Bohannon – Youngstown State Penguins

2020-21 stats: 16.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 3.2 apg

The 6’6 power forward is one of the active leaders in rebounding in the country, averaging over 8.0 rpg in each of the past four years. This past season though, Bohannon elevated his scoring production to lead the Penguins in scoring. The All-Horizon League player had 10 games of at least 20 points, including a career-high 32 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Green Bay.

As an undersized power forward with a career 13 made three-pointers, the odds of Bohannon’s game translating to the power conference level simply isn’t high. But if a team from the Atlantic 10 or even the American lands him, it’s not out of the question that he ends up an all-conference performer there too.

17. C Collin Smith – UCF Golden Knights

2019-20 stats: 12.6 ppg and 6.3 rpg (sat out this past season due to covid)

Health issues took Smith out for all of last year and there were questions as to whether or not he’d be cleared to play in 2021-22. If so, he becomes a key piece in the transfer portal. There are few true centers that are proven to be able to play at the power conference level and there are several teams still looking for frontcourt help.

When we last saw Smith in college, he had several games of at least 15 points and as a junior developed into a legitimate low-post scoring threat. At worst, he’ll be a solid rotational piece for any team willing to take him and could be a hidden gem when it’s all said and done.
