Top 10 potential NCAA Basketball options for Arizona State transfer Remy Martin
Kentucky Wildcats
Similar to Kansas, Kentucky is reportedly in the mix to land Wheeler and Washington. And some crystal balls even have the program possibly landing them both. That’s would be ideal for a program that currently has zero point guards on the roster after Nolan Hickman de-committed and five-star class of 2022 prospect Skyy Clark moving up to play this season.
If Wheeler and Washington do join the Wildcats, then Martin would be out of the equation. However, if something goes different, then look for Kentucky to turn around and try to land Martin, whose offense would give them a big boost on a roster that doesn’t have high-volume scorers. They were rumored to be linked to Marcus Carr had he not gone pro so they can certainly reach out to Martin too.
Ole Miss Rebels
A year ago, there was another former Arizona State starter in Romello White that transferred to Ole Miss. He had a solid season before moving on and while I don’t know how close he and Martin were when with the Sun Devils but if he makes a recommendation, the Rebels could be an under-the-radar option.
They certainly could use Martin after losing star guard Devontae Shuler to graduation. Ole Miss is bringing in a top-40 point guard prospect in Daeshun Ruffin and also brought in Georgia transfer guard Tye Fagan. But in what’s been an arm’s race of talent this offseason in the SEC, the Rebels need to make a huge move of their own to keep up. Adding a 20 ppg scoring like Martin would do the trick.
