Oklahoma Sooners

New head coach Porter Moser has a really experienced roster going into next season, led by the trio of senior guards in Jordan Goldwire, Elijah Harkless, and Umoja Gibson. All three will likely be gone a year from now, leaving four-star shooting guard commit CJ Noland as part of the 2022-23 rotation.

If Walter decides to play for Oklahoma, he’ll likely be the top offensive option and have plenty of shots and minutes to showcase himself if the goal is to be a “one and done”. On the flip side, it’s not known how Coach Moser will do in the Big 12, both on the court and on the recruiting trail. The future roster may not be good enough to make the NCAA Tournament or surround Walter with enough talent to make him succeed.

Oklahoma State Cowboys

Coming off the massive success of presumptive No. 1 NBA Draft pick Cade Cunningham, the Cowboys have caught the eyes of a few class of 2022 top stars as well. There’s plenty of talent left over to consider, including Avery Anderson, Rondel Walker, and recent Kansas transfer Bryce Thompson.

There is a decent amount of shooting guards on the roster but if Anderson leaves after next season, then Walter can easily come in and have a major role as a freshman. And he’d be a focal point of an offense that is now used to catering to top-level perimeter players.
