NCAA Basketball: 2022 4-star G Arterio Morris down to 5 schools

Georgia Bulldogs
Tom Crean has at times flashed as an ace recruiter, but his inability to get the Bulldogs’ positive momentum has resulted in significant roster turnover. The Covid-19 pandemic and NCAA’s one-time transfer waiver rule has not helped that slowdown and primarily lead guard Sahvir Wheeler has moved on to conference rival Kentucky. Georgia in turn has pulled in some solid, but inexperienced pieces, in his place in hopes of turning the tides.
The Bulldogs with Wheeler were a very up-tempo system with a more free-flowing offense, but things are destined to change with a new group of guards coming in. Adding Morris to the fray gives the program a strong talent boost and player to lean on offensively, but another area of the game may receive a bigger improvement to help produce wins. His tenacity on the defensive end would help to change the team’s fortunes of suffering five 20-point blowouts in conference play.
Morris has created a track record for disrupting offenses both at the rim and on the perimeter. Allowing him the freedom to operate and roam is something that will drastically benefit the Bulldogs, but their general lack of depth may not be enough to convince him to play there comparatively speaking.
