Oklahoma State

Grade: A- (No. 13, 2020 class)

Notable commits: PG Cade Cunningham (No.1 PG, No.1 overall), CG Rondel Walker (No.15 CG, No. 104 overall), PF Matthew Alexander Moncrieffe (No. 37 PF, No.163 overall)

Although the class is just one year through, Boynton knocked it out of the park with a class that not only had firepower, but can still keep the program stable after one season. Landing the No.1 recruit in any class will put your program on a higher pedestal. However, Boynton grabbed multiple guys that can become the face of the program over the next few seasons.

The class still has some years to develop other players, but the standouts from the 2020-2021 team were Rondel Walker and Matthew Alexander-Moncrieffe.

Alexander-Moncrieffe in particular came to his own toward the latter half of the season. He finished with eight games in double figures in 2021 after just three games in double figures in 2020. His shooting was consistent at 51% while grabbing 5.3 rebounds per game.

Walker was an energizer bunny off the bench and should see a much more expanded role in 2021-2022. Walker is a playmaker before anything else and can hold his own at times on defense. His 6’4 frame can help him grab rebounds. Only weighing at 170, Walker’s next move is to put on more weight, to make him a better defender and help fight through contact.

Bryce Williams from Ole Miss was a nice addition and is expected to return. Overall, this class is still quite a bit of potential but showed their stripes this past season. They proved enough to get them a letter grade, hoping to keep it consistent throughout the rest of their tenures in Stillwater.
