NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Breaking down finalists for top-150 guard Quion Williams

Saint Louis head coach Travis Ford has been able to establish a winning culture at Saint Louis in just a few short years. For a team that lacks recruiting appeal, he’s done quite the job thus far.

Looking at the Saint Louis roster, it appears the guard position is rather congested with many of their guards having multiple years of eligibility remaining. It’s uncertain if there’s a true need for a guard like Quion Williams but it’s fair to say they’d welcome a recruit of his stature with open arms.

As a high school prospect, you can also expect to be coached up well by Travis Ford and always be in the mix for their conference championship and a potential NCAA tournament berth. Last season, the Billikens were able to put up a top-50 adjusted offensive efficiency ranking while still having a respectable defense.

Overall, Saint Louis fans should feel good about their future with Travis Ford leading the way. The fact they’re in the mix for a guy like Quion Williams says a lot about where their program is heading.
