Razorbacks . 24. team. 524. . .

After losing star guard Moses Moody and key seniors Jalen Tate and Justin Smith, head coach Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks went heavily into the transfer portal to land some quality talent. They went to the ACC early on to get Au’Diese Toney (Pittsburgh) and Chris Lykes (Miami), two players that played at an all-conference level at their previous stops.

Two other key transfers Arkansas was able to land were Stanley Umude, a 20 ppg scorer at South Dakota, and Trey Wade, a versatile combo forward that will have an impact defensively in the frontcourt, They even were able to land an under the radar former top-100 prospect Jaxson Robinson from Texas A&M, who has a high ceiling in terms of talent.

What makes this team so potentially dangerous for next season is that these transfers aren’t going to be tasked to lead the way. SEC 6th Man of the Year JD Notae is back, alongside rising sophomores, Davonte Davis and Jaylin Williams. This is a team with top-10 potential and if Lykes can be a 15 ppg scorer as he was with the Hurricanes, can get back to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

And the transfer portal wasn’t the only way Coach Musselman landed talent. The Razorbacks have currently a top-5 overall recruiting class for 2022, led by top-100 commits Barry Dunning and Derrian Ford. So in case plenty of players depart next offseason, Arkansas already has a good incoming group of freshmen to replace them with.
