6. Anouar Mellock, Netherlands

The 6-8 forward is an outstanding athlete who owns a  40-inch vertical and a 7-foot wingspan. He averaged  15.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting better than 59% overall from the floor and over 30% from long distance for Fork Union’s postgraduate team.

“We’re excited about the potential that Anouar has and his ability to grow in our program,” Schmidt said. “He has a ton of God-given athletic ability that you just can’t teach. He can excel in an up-tempo style of play and can step out and knock down mid-range jumpers and stretch the floor. He can also create trouble for opponents on the defensive end with his long arms and shot-blocking skills. We’re looking forward to working with him and maximizing his abilities.”

5. Joryam Saizonou, Netherlands

The 6-3 combo guard — rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals — selected Bona over Boston College, Marshall, Mount St. Mary’s, and Oral Roberts, among others. He played last season at Beckley Prep (WV) and has experience with the Netherlands junior national team, averaging  6.6 points and 3.0 assists in the 2019 FIFA Under-18 European Championship.

Scouting report: An explosive two-way athlete. 3-level scorer with NBA range. Has ability to finish at the rim in a variety of ways. Good distributor and possesses good handles. Pesky defender with the capability of picking up fullcourt.
