10. Alabama Crimson Tide

Recruiting Class: JD Davison, Charles Bediako and Jusaun Holt

Although more damage could’ve been done in the NCAA Tournament, head coach Nate Oats proved how quickly he can bring this program into national contention. The Crimson Tide brought home both the regular-season and conference tournament titles home last year and will look to do the same again in 2021 with another loaded roster.

As Oats tendencies have shown, his teams have become ever so reliant on the 3-ball and he will be looking to replace the losses of John Petty, Herb Jones, Joshua Primo, and Alex Reese to maintain that level of perimeter success.

Bringing in top-30 players Charles Bediako and JD Davison, wing Jusaun Holt, and transfers Noah Gurley and Nimari Burnett, the chances to do so will be prime. The reinforcements ensure the strength of this team still lies on the perimeter in all facets of the game and keep the individual pressure down with a platoon approach scoring the ball. Despite the overall depth of the team’s backcourt, there is still room for the freshman to make their mark in their first year in Tuscaloosa.

Davison specifically has showcased himself very well in grassroots play over the last year or so. The electric guard can climb the ladder on the way to the rim, hit shots with range and use his speed to fly around the court. He will be highly called upon to help spell any issues experienced with Jahvon Quinerly or surprise returner Jaden Shackleford next season. While this year’s backcourt carries a little less size, it will still be extremely lethal and flexible scoring and defending on the court.

Prediction: JD Davison
