ACC Basketball: Top 20 impact transfers for 2021-22 season
12. Noah Locke | 6’3 Guard | Louisville Cardinals
Noah Locke is set to add some perimeter shooting to the Louisville Cardinals rotation in 2021-22. He’s found his way to Louisville after spending 2018-21 with the Florida Gators.
Locke established himself in the Gators rotation while appearing in 92 games (79 starts). He put up 10.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 40.4 percent from 3-point range in his final season as a member of the Gators.
He finished seventh in the SEC (57) in 3-pointers made this past season while maintaining his career-best scoring average. As a freshman, he knocked down a career-high 81 3-pointers, finishing fourth in the SEC in makes and second in 3-point field goal percentage (43.2 percent).
Making shots from 3-point range is something Locke has grown to do consistently since arriving at Florida. His career-best came on January 22, 2019, when he made seven in an 81-72 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies to finish with a career-high 27 points.
He’ll look to improve the 3-point shooting on a Cardinals team that shot 30.8 percent from the arc in 2020-21, ranking 13th in ACC basketball. For his career, Locke shot 40.3 percent (217-for-538) from 3-point land while knocking down 2.4 shots from the perimeter.
Look for him to play a strong role in their perimeter scoring attack, either off the bench or in the starting lineup.
