11. Armaan Franklin | 6’4 Guard | Virginia Cavaliers

Armaan Franklin found quite the landing spot out of the transfer portal after announcing his departure from the Indiana Hoosiers this past season. He finds himself with the Virginia Cavaliers as they look to revamp their offense in 2021-22.

He developed soundly in his two seasons with the Hoosiers. As a freshman, he averaged 3.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in 32 appearances (9 starts). With an increased role in 2020-21, he excelled with 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in 22 games (20 starts).

His biggest growth was on the perimeter. As a freshman, he shot 26.6 percent from 3-point range. This past season, he was 42.4 percent from deep. He knocked down five 3-pointers on three different occasions this past year, including a 5-of-6 performance for a career-high 23 points against Illinois back in December.

Franklin is set to give the Cavaliers a much-needed perimeter asset for 2021-22. He’s a player that showed he can knock down 3s, defend and rebound the ball on the defensive end of the floor at Indiana and shown his development from freshman to sophomore year.

Look for Franklin to alleviate things on the offensive end with his shooting prowess and add some defensive pressure in the backcourt along with Kihei Clark.
