9. Charlie Moore | 5’11 Point Guard | Miami Hurricanes

It looked like the departure of Chris Lykes would put a big dent in the Miami Hurricanes backcourt, but the arrival of Charlie Moore from DePaul should soften the blow a ton given what he’s accomplished.

Moore is a crafty 5-foot-11 guard that can make plays for himself and others, making him quite the playmaker on paper. He’s spent the past two seasons at DePaul University where he’s produced 15.1 points, 5.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per contest through 48 games.

During the 2019-20 campaign, he started in all 32 games for DePaul while putting up a career-high 15.5 points and 6.1 assists per contest along with 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. He also shot 31.7 percent from 3-point range. He’s a guard that makes his presence felt on both ends.

Moore will look to replace what Lykes brought to the table with the Hurricanes backcourt. While Coral Gables will be his fourth stop in the past six seasons, he’s shown he’s a capable playmaking guard in the Big East.

If he can translate his game to ACC Basketball, he should fit in nicely. Isaiah Wong and Harlond Beverly will both be back as well, giving Moore solid options on the wing to make plays in 2021-22.
