Jordan Miller finds himself making a leap from George Mason and Atlantic 10 Basketball straight into the ACC basketball gauntlet by joining the Miami Hurricanes ranks out of the transfer portal in 2021-22.

The departure of head coach Dave Paulsen led to some shuffling of the roster at George Mason and in the end, Miller finds himself with an opportunity to play a solid role for the Hurricanes.

Miller appeared in 69 games (66 starts) for the Patriots and in 2020-21 was named a third-team All-Atlantic 10 after averaging 15.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, all career-highs, along with 1.0 steals per game.

His versatility is starting to show at the right time as he shot 33.3 percent from behind the arc and 51.4 percent from 2-point range in 2020-21. He’s quite the flyer on the offensive glass as well. 182 of his 409 total rebounds have come on the offensive end.

The best game of his career with George Mason came against the Howard Bison this past December when he put up a career-high 30 points and knocked down a career-best eight 3-pointers in an 84-70 victory. He shot 10-of-15 (66.7 percent) and 8-of-10 from the arc in that one.

He’ll look to make an impact on the wing for a Miami squad that shot 29.5 percent from 3-point land (last in the ACC) as a team. He’ll give them depth and has the potential to emerge as a starter if his development continues trending upwards.
