ACC Basketball: Top 20 impact transfers for 2021-22 season
12. Naz Bohannon | 6’6 Forward | Clemson Tigers
Naz Bohannon is set to change the dynamic in the paint for the Clemson Tigers in 2021-22. He’s a name that if you don’t know it now, you will soon enough.
Bohannon is one of the more under-the-radar names off the transfer market to hit the ACC. He spent the last four seasons in the Horizon League at Youngstown State, where he’s made a name for himself on the glass and as a scorer and playmaker.
He put up 16.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game this past season while earning second-team All-Horizon League honors in 2020-21. He’s developed into quite the playmaker with the ball in his hands, coming off career-highs in scoring and assists.
In their final game of 2020-21, Bohannon put together the lone triple-double of his career with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists. He’s got quite the potential when breaking down his game.
He’s an active force on the offensive glass as well. He led the Horizon League in offensive rebounds in 2017-18 and 2019-20 and finished second in 2018-19 and fifth in 2020-21. In the season he led the league in offensive rebounds, he also ranked fifth in the NCAA.
He’s a strong 6-foot-6, 238-pound prospect with some versatility to go along with his size and frame. Look for him to make an impact for a Clemson team in desperate need of a motor guy.
