The only direction for Iowa State is up, after the worst season in program history. The Cyclones have yet to win a game in 2021 and had 10 double-digit losses during their losing stretch. One of the lone bright spots heading into this season will be Top-40 recruit guard Tyrese Hunter.
Hunter does his best work on offense and is extremely athletic, for 6-foot-1. Hunter’s finishing is not a question and can catch heat from beyond the arc.

The Cyclones lost an abundance of key players, including their three starting guards from last year in Rasir Bolton (Gonzaga), Tyler Harris (Memphis), and Jalen Coleman-Lands (Kansas).
Hunter is expected to be an immediate impact player in 2021-2022 and although his placement on the list is low, his ceiling is higher than many expect.
By end of the season, Hunter could easily be near the top half of the league at the position. Only time will tell how much progression can be made between August and March.
