2. Marcus Carr, Texas

2020-2021 stats: 19.4 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 4.9 APG

The Texas off-season made humongous strides when Carr announced his decision to complete his collegiate career in Austin.

Carr was highly regarded as the best guard in the portal as his offensive production is among the best in the sport.

He averaged 15.6 shots per game and shot 38.5% from the field last season. Although the numbers are alarmingly high, Carr is not expected to duplicate those stats.

The Longhorns loaded up with the returns of Andrew Jones and Courtney Ramey, alongside adding Kentucky transfer Devin Askew.

The four make up the deepest backcourt in the conference. The question leading up to the season is the chemistry.

Jones and Ramey have been starters over the previous three seasons with the Longhorns. Askew is coming to Texas, in order to boost production and not become a bench piece.

Chemistry between those four will not only show how far Texas goes, but how far Carr will go in his lone season with the Longhorns.
