NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing 5-star PG Jaden Bradley final 5 teams
Arizona Wildcats
New head coach Tommy Lloyd did a solid job rebuilding the roster this offseason once he arrived at Arizona from Gonzaga. The one area that still wasn’t truly addressed was point guard, with Kerr Kriisa coming back after not playing much as a freshman, combined with newcomers, Justin Kier and Pelle Larsson. If Kriisa isn’t a legit lead guard, this team will have some struggles next season.
Bradley would be able to come in and be the best player potentially and have the keys to the offense, something that only one other team may be able to say. The only question here is whether or not Coach Lloyd is the guy for the job after years of being an assistant. We don’t know yet how he’ll do with the Wildcats so that remains a wildcard in this recruitment, even though they may offer the best on-the-court situation.
Florida State Seminoles
Like Arizona, the Seminoles don’t have a clear-cut star point guard on the roster for next season or even the year after. They do have top-50 incoming freshman Jalen Warley, as well as Houston transfer Caleb Mills. But Mills is unproven as a true facilitator of an offense, which is why the team has been after Bradley this Summer.
As a program, Florida State is in much better shape than Arizona and has a head coach in Leonard Hamilton who is as good as it comes in NCAA Basketball. Bradley may not play for Duke or North Carolina but could play against them in ACC play, something the Seminoles have been as good as anyone not named Virginia. This is not only a safer option than Arizona but gives the five-star point guard the keys to the offense as well.
