Guard/Wing

One thing that stands out right away for Florida State basketball is the length at the guard position. 6-foot-4 guard RayQuan Evans is one name to keep an eye on at the guard/wing role. He put up 5.1 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 1.4 apg across 24 appearances (18 starts) in 2020-21. Since he’s a returning player with starting experience, it’s hard to deny his value in the rotation.

6-foot-6 guard Jalen Warley has the ability to play off the ball as well, making him another option at the guard/wing spot for Florida State basketball. They’re once again a very versatile group with a ton of depth and talent.

6-foot-7 Cam’Ron Fletcher is certainly capable of playing the guard/wing role in the Florida State basketball system. They like to get out and run in transition and he should have no issue sliding into the 2-guard/wing slot.

Anthony Polite is another name to keep an eye on at the 2-slot. The RS-Senior out of Switzerland currently holds the next starting role, but if Matthew Cleveland excels better than expected, it wouldn’t be a total surprise to see him slide into the starting role at the 3 and Polite moving over to the 2-spot. Depth certainly shouldn’t be an issue in 2021-22.
