Seton Hall Basketball: Analyzing Pirates 2021 incoming recruiting class
2. Jamir Harris
6-foot-2 point guard Jamir Harris looks to bolster the Seton Hall basketball backcourt and then some with his addition to the roster. He was quite the star with American basketball this past year.
He was a first-team All-Patriot League selection in 2020-21 while pouring in 20.5 ppg, 3.5 apg, 2.8 rpg, and 1.0 spg on 43.8 percent shooting from 3-point land. He finished second in the league with 39 made 3-pointers in their 10-game season and a career-high 3.9 3-pointers made per contest in the Covid-19 shortened season.
While the pace will certainly change, he brings quite the potential with the style Kevin Willard plays with. He’ll need to limit his turnovers and if he does, things should work out quite well for him.
1. Kadary Richmond
Kadary Richmond was a strong reserve name for Syracuse basketball this past season before entering his name in the transfer portal. Now, he returns in 2021-22 looking to make a name for himself in the Big East.
He’s a 6-foot-6 point-forward type of player with the potential to play multiple roles on the floor for Seton Hall basketball. He produced 6.3 ppg, 3.1 apg, 2.6 rpg, and 1.6 spg in the Orange rotation in 2020-21.
He finished with a defensive rating of 99.1, good for 17th in ACC basketball this past year. Given his prowess on the defensive end, he holds the potential to star as the leader and anchor.
