Schedule outlook

UVA basketball doesn’t have the easiest of non-conference schedules, considering what they have returning but they’re always up for a challenge. They’ll open things up against Navy on Nov. 9 then host Radford on Nov. 12 before going on the road to face an NCAA Tournament squad in the Houston Cougars on Nov. 16.

They’ll return home against Coppin State (Nov. 19) then face the Georgia Bulldogs (Nov. 22) in the Legends Classic in Newark, New Jersey. Then they’ll face Northwestern/Providence on Nov. 23 depending on the first game result.

They’ll return home to host Lehigh (Nov. 26) before facing a tough Iowa Hawkeyes (Nov. 29) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. After the challenge, they’ll host their first contest in the ACC basketball ranks when the Pittsburgh Panthers come to town on Dec. 3 to open the month.

James Madison (Dec.7 ) on the road and Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 18) at home will wrap up the non-conference slate. UVA basketball kicks off the bulk of its ACC schedule with a home game against Clemson (Dec. 22), then road games at Syracuse (Jan. 1) and against Clemson (Jan. 4) in a quick turnaround rubber match.

North Carolina (Jan. 8) on the road then two home games follow against Virginia Tech (Jan. 12) and Wake Forest (Jan.15) before two more road games against Pittsburgh (Jan. 19) and NC State (Jan. 22).

They’ll close out January with Louisville at home on the 24th then Norte Dame on the road on the 29th before facing Boston College on Feb. 1 and Miami on Feb. 5 at home to open February.

UVA basketball will travel to Cameron Indoor to face the Duke Blue Devils on Feb. 7, return to host Georgia Tech (Feb. 12) then have two more road games against Virginia Tech (Feb. 14) and Miami (Feb. 19).

In the final three games of the conference schedule, they’ll host Duke at home on Feb. 23 and Florida State on Feb. 26 before closing things out on the road against Louisville (March 5) in their lone meeting of the year.
