3. Dain Dainja, Baylor – ILLINOIS

Info: 6-9, 270 lbs., PF, Fr.

Dainja is the fourth straight former four-star prospect on this list. He did not play for Baylor as it won the National Championship last season and appeared in just three games at the beginning of this season. That is not as much a statement to Dainja’s abilities as it is a testament to the Bears’ incredible talent and depth.

With Kofi Cockburn expected to turn pro, it seems likely that Brad Underwood will turn to Dainja for significant frontcourt minutes next season.

2. Blake Hinson, Iowa State

Info: 6-6, 230 lbs., SG, Jr.

2019-20 stats (at Ole Miss): 10.1 PTS, 4.6 REB, 31.9 3P%

Hinson spent his first two seasons at Ole Miss where he averaged 8.3 points as a freshman and 10.1 points as a sophomore. He then transferred to Iowa State but sat out last season with an undisclosed medical condition. Hinson announced that he was leaving the Iowa State program just a few weeks before the start of this season. The reason for his departure remains unclear, but his potential impact on the court has garnered him high-major interest in the transfer portal.

1. Tre King, Georgetown – IOWA STATE

Info: 6-8, 225 lbs., PF, Jr.,

2020-21 stats (at Eastern Kentucky): 14.9 PTS, 6.2 REB, 49.1 FG%

King averaged 14.9 points and 6.2 rebounds at Eastern Kentucky last season, earning him First Team All-Ohio Valley honors. He transferred to Georgetown over the summer but was off of the roster by mid-October for an undisclosed reason that was likely non-basketball-related.
