13. Wisconsin (16-3)

It’s too early to call who will win this wild and talented Big Ten, but the way Wisconsin has played this season makes it clear they are one of those contenders. We won’t spend too much time talking about the past, though these Badgers have stockpiled some impressive wins this season. After last week’s loss to Michigan State, they got back on track this week, hoping to start a new winning streak.

This wasn’t the most challenging week on Wisconsin’s schedule, facing just one game. On Thursday, the Badgers traveled to Nebraska, handling the Cornhuskers 73-65 to improve their Big Ten record to 7-2. The Badgers’ interior offense struggled, but Brad Davison had 21 points and the defense played well in the victory. This win also gave Wisconsin four straight road wins, an impressive feat in this league.

If Johnny Davis keeps playing at a high level and the rest of the roster contributes, Wisconsin can win this conference. They’ve had a few slip-ups, but they’ve also had some really impressive performances on both sides of the ball. The next week features winnable home games against Minnesota and Penn State but also an intriguing road trip to Illinois next Wednesday; the next big test for the Badgers to pass if they want to win the Big Ten.
