Kentucky Dominates “Blue Blood” Showdown

Speaking of the previously mentioned Wildcats, if Alabama’s performance wasn’t the most impressive of the day, then it is 100% Kentucky’s.

Going on the road into Allen Fieldhouse to face the No. 5 ranked Jayhawks, Kentucky claimed the lead early, carried a 20-point lead into halftime, and simply never looked back. Out-rebounding the Jayhawks 41-29 in the process, Kentucky received the normal double-double from star big man Oscar Tshiebwe, as well as a game-high 27 points from Keion Brooks Jr.

A likely Top 10 team entering next week, the Wildcats immediate SEC schedule aside from the previously mentioned trip to Tuscaloosa next Saturday is favorable and assuming Kentucky takes care of business against the other teams, the Wildcats should remain in the mix atop the SEC.

There is no denying that this was an impressive performance on all fronts from the Wildcats. Plain and simple, Kentucky when fully healthy is as good as any team in college basketball, and they only confirmed that in front of a national audience on Saturday against one of the best teams the Big 12 has to offer.
