LSU, Tennessee Fall on Road

For an LSU team that got both Xavier Pinson and Darius Days back on Saturday, the Tigers fell behind late in the first half and were never able to fully recover as they were upset 77-68 on the road at TCU.

While the immediate SEC schedule upcoming for the Tigers is a favorable one, this loss continues a concerning recent trend for LSU as they have now dropped four of their last five games. The Tigers should get back on their winning ways as Days and Pinson get back to full strength, but there is no denying that LSU needs to get back to those ways sooner rather than later.

As for Tennessee, the Volunteers fell behind due to an early second-half run by Texas but were able to go on a 16-1 run with under five minutes remaining to tie the game before eventually falling to the Longhorns 52-51.

Aside from the late Tennessee run, the Volunteers struggled offensively shooting only 35.8% from the field but were as usual strong defensively. While the loss does snap a Tennessee three-game winning streak, the Volunteers should be able to bounce back on Tuesday night when Texas A&M comes to town.
