Rebounding was one department where the Bulldogs “struggled” so to speak in their last victory. Gonzaga basketball managed to allow 15 offensive rebounds against the Cougars last time and finished the game in a 33-33 tie in that category.

Rasir Bolton led the way with seven boards while Anton Watson snagged six for himself, but the frontcourt will need to stake their claim down low this time around to even things out.

The Bulldogs have more than enough rebounders in their wheelhouse with Drew Timme, Chet Holmgren, Julian Strawther, and Watson, as mentioned above. They’ll need to lock in as a unit and rebound from an all-around standpoint or things could get interesting this time around.

Strawther is a name that comes to mind given his versatility in the starting rotation at 6-foot-7. He’s put up 12.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 1.1 apg on 37.9 percent shooting from 3-point range in his debut season.

He tied his career-high 20 points the last time both teams squared off, though he had just two rebounds in the game. He’ll need to go for a double-double, which would potentially be his third, in order to turn things around on the glass for Gonzaga basketball in this one.
