NBA Draft 2022: 5 Big 12 basketball prospects improving their draft stock
6-foot-2 sophomore point guard Mike Miles Jr., Guard, TCU Horned Frogs
Mike Miles Jr. is a big reason for the success of TCU basketball in 2021-22 and as a result, he’s started to draw some interest as an NBA Draft prospect. He’s boosted his production for the Horned Frogs in his second year in the lineup.
He’s averaging 15.4 ppg, 4.2 apg, 3.9 rpg, and 1.2 spg as the leading scorer and playmaker in the TCU basketball rotation while shooting 36.6 percent from the field. Miles likes to shoot at volume but takes the pressure off as well with his ability to get others involved.
He showed his poise this past January against the Baylor Bears back on the 8th, despite a loss, with 26 points and five assists on 9-of-16 shooting from the field and 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point land. He spearheads a scoring defense that ranks 23rd in NCAA basketball in points allowed (61.8 ppg).
While he may not be a trendy pick, he’s certainly got upside for a Horned Frogs squad that’s 15-4 on the season and in the middle of the pack in Big 12 basketball at 4-3 in conference action. If he can lead his squad to some marquee victories heading into March, look for his stock to rise as an NBA Draft prospect.
