Notre Dame is currently on the right path to earning an NCAA tournament bid

There is still a lot of season left with it only being early in February, but at the moment they are right there to hear their name called on Selection Sunday next month.

The ACC is not the deepest conference compared to recent years but the Irish are continuing to win sitting at 9-3 in the ACC with eight more games to go the rest of the way. When it is all said in done I see four to five ACC teams getting invited to the big dance.

Of the eight remaining ACC games, the Irish get to play five of them on their home court. Notre Dame is 9-1 on the year at home with the only loss coming against Duke. If they are able to take care of business at home and keep competing and racking up wins on the road they should be in great shape come March. What win number do they have to get to in the conference? Believe it would be hard to turn away a team that wins at least twelve or thirteen games even in a down year in the ACC.

Again, there is still plenty of basketball to be played but sitting at 9-3 right now puts Notre Dame right in the thick of things to possibly finish in the top four and get a double-bye when the ACC Tournament comes around in March.

If Notre Dame is able to take care of business the rest of the way and win the games they should be winning this would be their first trip to the NCAA tournament as a group since 2017. This also means it would be the first time their highly-rated senior recruiting class would hear their name called on Selection Sunday. Let’s see if they can finish the year strong and actually hear their name called on Selection Sunday.
